Dunkley’s Dairy Delivery Driver
Job Summary
Dunkley’s Dairy grows its business by maintaining strong relationships with its customers and we are looking for a delivery driver to join our team and help continue that growth. The driver is responsible for delivering products to customer locations on a structured delivery route. The successful candidate will also offer customer service to our customers by answering questions, getting customers the products they need and resolving potential challenges or issues.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Visit customer locations and deliver Dunkleys’ products daily while following a structured route visit schedule
- Physically unload delivery trucks using pallet jacks and/or hand trucks, placing and restocking product.
- Where necessary, fill, merchandise and rotate products on shelves, coolers and end caps for all Dunkley’s products at customer locations
- Work and rotate product in back rooms of stores and condense back-stock daily to keep these areas clean and organized at all times
- Responsible for assisting customers check in their orders and ensure all invoices are properly signed and returned to Dunkley’s front office staff
- Check in at office daily to collect invoices, memos or other pertinent company information
- Accountable for cash collection and writing credits for customers
- Responsible for returning damaged or non-required products back to the warehouse
- Maintain accurate transportation logs including visit reports and time in/out sheets
- Communicate route or delivery delays to management team
- Establish and maintain excellent relationships with customers
- Act as the liaison between customers and the company by addressing customer issues and solving customer problems
- Provide coverage for team members when needed, either in merchandising, placing orders for customers, working in warehouse or other tasks across the business
- Maintain and operate company provided vehicle in accordance to applicable safety regulations; keep vehicle clean and organized on daily basis
Required Skills
- A valid heavy truck license is require
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 2+ years driving/delivery experience preferred
- Ability to work in fast paced environment, lifting up to 50 lbs. of product repetitively
- Self-motivated and able to work well independently
- Team player, able to collaborate and work effectively with colleagues
- Be able and willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
- Strong customer service skills required
