Dunkley’s Dairy Merchandiser
Job Summary
Dunkley’s Dairy grows its revenue by maintaining strong relationships with its customers. We are looking for a Merchandiser to join our team and act as that business conduit. The Merchandiser will be responsible for working with our customers to make sure that the shelves, end caps, coolers and displays attract attention and the warehouse shelves are fully stocked of all Dunkleys’ products. In this entry level position, you will stock and merchandise our many products in our retail and restaurant accounts.
The successful candidate will also offer customer service to our customers by answering questions, getting customers the products they need and resolving potential challenges or issues.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Fill, merchandise and rotate products on shelves, coolers and end caps for all Dunkley’s products at customer locations to ensure continuous availability
- Work and rotate product in back rooms of stores and condense back-stock daily to keep these areas clean and organized at all times
- Follow a structured customer visit schedule on a daily basis, includes Saturday work
- Collaborate with customers to create attractive sales floor displays and make sure that our product is prominently displayed
- Act as the liaison between customers and the company by addressing customer issues and solving customer problems
- Work closely with Dunkley’s sales reps and delivery drivers to coordinate orders, identify sales opportunities/strategies and address customer needs
- Provide coverage for team members when needed, either in merchandising, placing orders for customers, working in warehouse or other tasks across the business
- Assist marketing team with securing, setting and moving displays when required
- Encourage customers to expand and increase their purchases of Dunkley’s products through pre-planned, unique and creative sales strategies
- Maintain time sheet records
- Participate in weekly team meetings to work with team members
Required Skills
- Must have a working form of transportation and valid license
- Ability to work in fast paced environment, lifting up to 50 lbs. of product repetitively
- Self-motivated and able to work well independently
- Team player, able to collaborate and work effectively with colleagues
- Be able and willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
- Strong customer service skills required
